Can You Add Fur to a Canada Goose Jacket?
Yes—if your hood has a compatible zipper.
Add natural coyote fur to a jacket sold without it, or replace a worn or missing trim. Start by choosing the right fit below.
Which fit do I need?
ADDING FUR FOR THE FIRST TIME
Standard 19.5-inch Fit
Choose this only if all four are true:
- Authentic Canada Goose jacket
- Originally sold without fur
- Not an Expedition Parka
- Hood zipper is exactly 19.5 inches, end to end
Check your zipper first. If all four apply, no photos or measurements need to be sent to us.
REPLACEMENTS & OTHER FITS
Custom Fit
Choose this if any apply:
- Replacing an original fur trim
- Expedition Parka
- A different zipper length
- Any Standard condition is not met—or you are unsure
We confirm fit details before production. For another brand or an uncertain zipper, ask us first; not every hood can be fitted.
How to check your hood
- Find the trim-attachment zipper. Use the zipper around the hood edge, not the jacket’s front zipper or detachable-hood zipper.
- Measure end to end. Measure the zipper, not the fur. Length alone does not guarantee compatibility.
- For Custom Fit, send photos. We need your jacket model, zipper length, a full-hood photo and close-ups of both zipper ends. You can supply these after checkout, before production.
Black backing ≠ black fur
“Black” means the fabric behind the fur. The coyote fur is naturally colored and undyed. Black backing can suit black and other dark jackets; zipper compatibility still comes first.
Still unsure? Ask us about your fit. Review processing times and final-sale terms on the product page before ordering.
